1:1 coaching built around your life

Hey, I'm Mike.

I'm from Chicago and played soccer my whole life, through college. When my college career ended, I had the biggest identity crisis of my life.

So I made training a daily discipline, because I valued being fit for life. Injuries and weight gain didn't stop me. I never wanted to feel like I wasn't capable again.

Then I went corporate. 5am alarm, the 6:15 train, at my desk by 7:30. 10 to 12 hour days with a 3-hour round-trip commute, and I still kept up with my health because I built systems for it.

Now I do the work I'll do my whole life: building those same systems for you, so you can stay fit for life too.

Training that fits your job, not the other way around.

Real results

Herman was already training hard and not getting anywhere. We ran a lean bulk, then a cut, built around his school, work and life.

Training less and achieving more was the eye-opener for me. Going from two to four hours a day to about a third of that, and achieving more. Who doesn't want that?

  • Why MikeSince you've been through the same stuff I have, I can trust that you want to take me to the place that you achieved.
  • The supportI didn't need somebody around me 24/7. I needed somebody to be there if I needed it to be.
  • Real lifeI could be myself, be on my own time, and still hit my goals, and not be an extremist.
  • The coachingIt's not just about you telling me do this and do that. It's about being strict, but also ending up having a friend.

The coaching

Built around your week

Most training plans assume a week that doesn't exist. Yours has its own mix of work, commute, family, travel and everything else. Whether it's packed or pretty steady, the plan starts from your week, your goals and where you're starting from.

I build your training and nutrition around your actual schedule, coach you on a call every week, and adjust until it works.

Where it goes: leaner or more muscular, stronger on every main lift, your conditioning back, and a routine that runs without thinking about it. Feel like an athlete again, without needing a team or a scoreboard.

Inside the coaching

What you get

Your sessions go where your week has room. When a day blows up, the Minimum Day protocol keeps you in it with 20 minutes.

I use systems to track and measure everything, from progressive overload to nutrition. You always know what to do next, and we both know what's working.

One example week. Yours will look different.

Questions

Good questions

I work long hours. Will this actually fit?

Yes. How often and how long you train depends on your schedule, your plan and your goals, and we adjust it when work changes. When a day blows up, the Minimum Day protocol keeps you in it with a 20-minute session.

How long is coaching?

Programs run 8, 16 or 24 weeks. Same coaching in every one. Most people do 16. Longer programs add bonuses.

How do you track progress?

I use systems to track and measure everything, from progressive overload on every lift to your nutrition, plus benchmark tests on day one and every 8 weeks. You always know what's working.

What about travel and eating out?

It's a key part of the coaching. Every client learns how to stay fit on the road and eat well at restaurants, so a trip or a dinner out doesn't knock you off track.

Do you help with mobility?

Yes. Mobility work is built into your plan so you move better, recover between sessions and keep training for the long run.

What's the difference between coaching and the programs?

Coaching is 1:1: a plan built for you, a call every week and direct access to me. The programs are instant downloads you run on your own.

Do I need a crazy schedule or a sports background for this to be for me?

No. Whether your week is packed or pretty steady, and whether you played in college or are just getting started, the plan is built around your life, your goals and where you're starting from.

Do I need a gym membership?

No. You can train at home, with your own equipment, in your apartment gym or at a full gym. I build your plan around whatever you have available. If you're in Chicago and we decide to train in person, we'll pick a gym that works for both of us.
